11th Lesson

There is usually a Christmas show on or around December 25.  If left to his or her own devices, your supervisor will probably try to do it on the Friday before Christmas, from about 730 to 8 in the morning.
All the seventh grade classes will probably be part of the show.
For this show I’ve been using the “Wee Sing Christmas” CD, which is good because it has an accompanying book with lyrics in both English and Chinese.
The “show” consists of a short introduction by the Foreign English Teacher, followed by either a play of some kind or a speech.  Then the classes go up, two at a time, and sing their songs.

Pass out lyric sheets for song, have students get CD player ready, and put in CD.
l   Recite lyrics line by line.
l   Listen to CD once.
l   Teacher sings song line by line, students repeat.
l   We sing song together (SLOWLY).

SBS pg. 27.  Recite vocab together.  Ask 4 students questions using “What is he/she doing?”

SBS pg. 28.  Recite the list of possessives twice, the rest of page once.

Play “Money Game.”  Draw the grid on the board, numbers corresponding to increasing levels of difficulty.

SBS pg. 29/30 if time.

Play 10 Questions.  Teacher provides clues, students guess what objects he/she is talking about.

Practice song again if time.
