I’ve gone through a lot of ESL/EFL textbooks
during my time in Taiwan. The best two, given my schedule, are the
following:
Molinsky,
Steven J., and Bliss, Bill. Side by Side, Volume 1-2 (2001). Longman,
NY. Simple, somewhat repetitious, but it
works.
Helgesen,
Marc, et al. English Firsthand Volume 1 (2004). Longman, NY. A good supplementary book for “faster”
classes.
